Clay Creature Reflection (11-D): March 26, 2012
1. The strong part of my creature is the texture on the body because it has stipples in it.
2. I could have done a better job with the quality of the sculpture because some of it is kind of messy.
3. My theme is a butterfly sculpture. I chose this sculpture because butterflies are pretty.
4. The form of my creature is a flat butterfly that is aobut five inches wide. The movement frozen in time is flying.
5. The textures on my creature are the wings are smooth and the body has stipples. I chose the stipples because they look cool.
6. I learned that clay is very stressful to do. It takes a lot of time and patience. I can use that on other projects and later in life.
7. The design of my butterfly looks like I thought it would in the beginning. It didn't really change too much.
8. I thought this project was worthwhile. I didn't really like making the animal, but it was fun making the pinch pot. To make it better, I think you should let the students make whatever they want out of clay, not just animals.
